Living

.
There are a few things she knows, and one of them is that this is not living. She gets up daily look herself in the mirror, comb her hair, brush her teeth. Slowly add makeup to her face, to hide the so called imperfections. She does what the world expects without questioning it.

She putts her dull clothes on, she put heels on, knowing that she would much rather be wearing her hippie skirt with no shoes at all. She gets in her over priced car, that spits low fumes out into the air. The sky looks dull and grey and the sun try and fight his way through the smog. There is a few things she knows, and one of them is that she is not saving the environment.

She parks her car in front of the company she does not believe in, she gets out of her car and hates every step she takes. She sits at her desk and finish her work, it does not bring her joy or makes her feel a sens of accomplishment. She gets up at 5 and drive back home. There is a few things she knows, and one of them is that this is not living.

She makes her ready meal, sits in front of the TV, takes a bath goes to bed.
There is a few things she knows, and one of them are that this live has to change.

Knowing there is a need for change and finding a way to that change is most often accomplished through the head and heart and not the physical surroundings.

You speak the truth, but one need to remove yourself if the surroundings is counter productive to live:)

It's difficult when one yearns for a different life but has to keep the old one going in order to survive. This piece captures that perfectly.

i agree with mark... but we all have bills to pay, so 'drudge work' is often essential to take us to the next stage...

I sometimes wonder why one should endure something you hate so much. Who wrote the rule that this is how it should be. Does it nor take more energy to hate something than to love....maybe I am just looking for something there is not! thanks for the comments:)

we do what we must... keeping an eye out for a better opportunity

failing that, self-employment is usually the best option, provided you have a product/service folk want and will pay money for....

I am trying the self employment options, alas, lets hope this will be a reality. I am part time photographer at the moment...did open a blog for it....:)
