skoenlappers/ butterflies

This is dedicated to my friend S.N:)

Skoenlappers

Pyn die droee winter,
gedros in die na nag.
waar jou skoonheid my bevry,
het dit pyn as smaak in my mond gelos.
'n bitter geur van nood.

Verlore tussen blaaie van verlede,
ek kon nie kies waar om te draai.
vlug soos skoenlappers die donker nag in.
was my skoon, help my vergeet.
Liefde wat nie wil voel.
vergeet die seer,die rou berou.

Die son haal die koue af.
die rou sal wel bernou,
lewe;
'n pad van keuse,
'n pad van pyn.

as mens kon kies, weet jy als is later verby.
nodige rou.
eindig en altyd bevry.

Butterflies

Pain in dry winter,
slumber in the night there after.
your beauty could make me free,
it left a taste of pain in my mouth.
a bitter flavour of need.

Lost between pages of past,
I could not choose where to turn.
flee like butterflies in the dark night,
wash me clean, help me forget.
love that I don't want to feel.
forget the pain, and the raw sorrow.

The sun takes the cold off.
the sorrow will reflect,
life;
a path of choice,
a path of pain.

if a human can choose, it all will go away.
need to grief.
the end, always free.
